about The Author
John B. La Macchia, Jr., a retired Consulting Actuary, was born in 1931 in East Harlem, New York City where his love for basketball began as a boy and continues to today. Because the love of the sport has stayed with him throughout his life, John always dreamed about writing a children's book about basketball. He now resides in Santa Monica, CA.

Angela Ponder is a graphic designer and illustrator of children's books. She loves basketball and when March Madness comes around you will find her glued to her television screen. When she's not illustrating you can find her watching baseball, basketball, football, curling, and pretty much any other sport on TV.
